The mission of the Merrick Library is to fulfill the informational, educational, and cultural needs of the community by providing proactive, professional service. The library will:

• Encourage the joy of learning, reading, the arts and local culture in order to enrich the lives of our residents

• Provide a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere that supports intellectual freedom

• Integrate the latest technology to enhance library services
