Renew Material....


There are two ways to renew books and other items: renew in person or renew online by clicking the My ML Account link which appears on our Web site. You will need to type in your name, barcode, and PIN. As a default, your PIN is the last four digits of your telephone number. You may change your PIN at any time. Once logged in to your account, select the hyperlink 'items checked out' to see what you currently have checked out. You may select the titles individually and then click 'renew selected items' or you may 'renew all'. Items may not be renewed once they are overdue. You may only renew eligible material * Eligible materials include: Adult and Children’s books (except for Merrick Marvels) Older DVDs, Audio books, music and language CDs. If there are outstanding holds on any item, you will not be able to renew* once. If you encounter problems with this feature, please call the library at 377-6112 and choose option 4.

 

Reserve Material

  • In person at the reference or children's desk -or-
  • By calling the library, 377-6112, ext. 112, 113, or 122 for children's-or-
  • Through the Online Catalog: from the search results, click the "Request" button. It will then ask you for your name, barcode and PIN -or-
  • You can log into My ML Account first. Then perform your search by clicking on the 'Search Catalog' button on the right side. On your results list you will see a 'Request' link. Click on it, you will be asked when you need the material, click 'Submit' and you are done.

Freezing a Request
If you are, for example, going away and may not be here to pick up an item that you have already placed on reserve, click on the box under "Freeze". This will stop they system from filling your request until such time as you unclick the box. When you do unclick the box, you will resume at the same spot in the hold queue.
