Internet access, printing, scanning, and fax
The "Merrick Library WiFi" network is free for unlimited public use during operating hours. There is no password. You must accept and abide by the stated terms and conditions when accessing the network.
Public PCs are available for all age groups: on the first floor for adults, in Teen Space, and in the Children's Room. All have open and unfiltered Internet access; installed software varies. Use per-patron is limited to three hours/day.
The Library uses Princh to provide printing from public PCs and wireless printing from guest laptops, phones, and tablets. B&W printing is 10 cents/page; color is 25 cents/page. Credit cards, PayPal, and cash are accepted.
To use Princh, visit print.princh.com or install the free Princh app on your iOS or Android device. Choose your printer using the following codes: 102005 (First Floor), 102027 (Second Floor), 102026 (Children's Room).
There is a Scannx machine next to the Reference Desk; there is no charge but scanning may be limited if others are waiting. Scans can be sent to email, various cloud storage services, a USB drive, or to a phone via QR code.
A color copier is located in the lobby. B&W copies are 10 cents/page; color is 25 cents/page.
The copier in the lobby has a fax function. The charge is $1.25 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page--domestic fax only. Maximum 5 pages per transaction.
